Departure
















Today is the day we head home although we weren’t finished serving! This morning we helped with the Ysleta food drive from 6:30 am - 8:30 am! It was fun and felt good helping the people in the community!


We want to say a HUGE thank you to our Host at Ysleta! He was amazing this whole week. He made us feel right at home. He really cares about the teams he’s working with and was always making sure everything was going okay and if we needed anything. He was also a fantastic tour guide as well. This is a wonderful place to do missions because of the passion of helping others here at Ysleta. He also has personal relationships with the families we helped in Mexico and you can see how much they mean to each other. He is an amazing person and does all these wonderful ministries. Most of all he loves Jesus more than anything and he is a light in this world. He will be greatly missed and so will his dad jokes! We also want to say a thank you to our cook at Ysleta. Her meals were DELICIOUS! We are going to miss her bright smile and loving personality! Ysleta was great!


This week of serving has been a lot of hard work but also very rewarding and I can’t wait to come back here! On Monday we gave 50 families water buckets. On Tuesday we gave 50 families water buckets. On Wednesday we gave 51 families water buckets. On Thursday we gave 33 families water buckets and on Friday we gave 45 families water buckets and sent 21 to one of the host. We ended up distributing 229 buckets to families! Praise Jesus! 


It’s amazing being able to spread gospel and help the families with hygiene lessons and water buckets. The families we met will be missed and the connections we made will never be forgotten! We thank you Jesus for being with us and helping the body of Christ grow deeper in our faith. This team and this trip has been life changing and we cant wait to serve on the next one. We also want to say thank you to our Team Leader! She’s so awesome and fun to be around and to work with. She was glue that held this team together. She has a passion for serving and serving Jesus and it really shines out of her! 


Again, we thank you Jesus for an amazing mission trip and we all feel so blessed and deeper in our faith. It’s amazing to see how God connected all these connections through everyone involved! What an amazing God we serve!

Have you ever been somewhere where it immediately felt like home? From the moment we arrived our Hosts greeted us with warm and loving hugs and beautiful smiles. Our hosts have made the housing so cozy you feel right at home.  It’s been a delight getting to know them and look forward to growing a stronger connection as the trip goes on.  The day has been filled with great conversations with plenty of laughs during our Travel.    It almost feels like this group has known each other for ages. We thank you Jesus for getting us to our destination safely.  This evening we begin our work on the water filters . We have team members drilling holes, filing the holes, cutting chains and chaining the syringes on the buckets. Our goal is to get 50 buckets done today, but this group works hard so I wouldn’t be surprised if we exceed that amount. It’s been a lot of fun working with the team and it’s inspiring to see their love for Jesus shine through today!

In the Field - Day 2

The team woke up to another beautiful morning! We enjoyed a great breakfast with a prayer and a devotion.   We headed back out on the field to help more families with water filters! The kids team had a fantastic day with the Bible story, hygiene lessons and playing lots of games! The kids were adorable and full of hugs and love. A special moment was when a little girl came running to join the group and instantly gave out a hug to a team member. Another special moment was when the teens showed us a game they play called “Hot Potato” but not how we play in America. It was awesome to experience a game of theirs. The adults had another great engaging crowd with lots of applauses and grateful hearts. It’s heartwarming to see their appreciation for the gospel and the water filters. We distributed another 50 water filters to the families.  Afterwards the woman who owns the community center made the team tacos for lunch. In the Field! - Day 1

Today is exciting! We begin distributing our water filters and teaching hygiene lessons while sharing the gospel with the families.  We arrived at our destination and got to work quickly. We started to assemble the filters and prepped for our lessons.  Those working with the kids got to hang out outside and teach them lessons and do a Bible study and then played a couple of games.  The team members working with the adults had similar lessons and a Bible study. They had an engaging group who were asking a lot of questions and applauded the team members after each lesson! You could hear their gratitude from outside! We then distributed 50 water buckets to the families. It was heart warming to see how thankful they were to receive their new water filters. A moment that I found special was an older man who was so proud of himself that he was able to demonstrate how the filter worked and with the back washing that he clapped and said “I did it!” with a huge smile!
